The Pioneer XDJ-1000MK2 Multiplayer Digital Deck DJ Controller is the latest and greatest version of their powerful media player/controller. By improving usability with enhanced track browsing, and now featuring support for high-resolution FLAC and ALAC audio files, the XDJ-1000MK2 somehow manages to step up its already impressive capabilities.

The XDJ-1000MK2 benefits from inheriting the same size jogwheel and 7-inch LCD touch screen as those found on the mighty CDJ-2000NXS2, affording intuitive control over your mix. In addition to the already impressive array of playable audio files – MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF -, high resolution FLAC and ALAC formats allows you to perform with tracks up to 48kHz/24-bit playback. A new digital (Coaxial) output has been added that allows you to send audio without signal degradation for flawless performances. Not only that, but Pioneer have isolated the analogue power supply, to prevent unwanted noise interference with regard to the digital circuit.

FASTER BROWSING

The powerful touchscreen is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard for accessing track information, but if that isn’t enough, the rotary button next to the display allows you to easily browse your rekordbox (PC / Mac) or the rekordbox app (iOS / Android) library. Thanks to advanced features such as Matching and Track Filter, you always have access to the right track at the right time for executing the smoothest of sets.

Many features are derived from the top of the range CDJ-2000NXS2, with enhanced performance in the way of 8 Hot Cues for instant playback from a preset point. Quantize allows you to play cue and loop points in perfect sync with music that has been beat analysed in rekordbox, effectively doing the work so that you don’t have to. The beat jump / loop feature allows you to move 1, 2 or 4 beats backwards or forwards within a loop in perfect timing!

CLEAN, RELEVANT INFORMATION

The XDJ-1000MK2 clearly displays at-a-glance information such as Wave Zoom, Beat Counter, Phase Meter and Key Analysis meaning you can spend more time focusing on your performance rather than data. Other features to enhance your session include the ability to colour code playlists with the corresponding USB port so you’ll know what’s on each of your USB keys!

INTEGRATION AND EXPANSION

Pushing digital boundaries to enhance your performance is at the forefront of Pioneer’s design, and integrating hardware that syncs perfectly is the key to their built-in Pro DJ Link. Connect up to 4 players or laptops via the LAN connection and you’re good to go. Add other gear such as the DDJ-SP1 to your set-up, and you have even greater performance control.
